Who We Are

Andrew and Moira Mevissen established Peak PR in 2007, combining their talents and experience in communications and hospitality.

Andrew Mevissen

Andrew’s successful career in travel communications began after he graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Marketing in 1986. After honing his journalistic skills at the Ballarat Courier, Andrew worked in major metropolitan newspapers in Melbourne (Herald Sun) and Sydney (Daily Telegraph) and headed up News Ltd’s interstate bureau in Sydney before beginning work in travel PR in 1993, working for private and public agencies. Andrew and his wife, Moira, established their own agency, Peak PR, in 2007.

Andrew has conducted PR for many destinations, airlines, cruise lines, hotels, destinations, travel companies, magazines, websites, yoga studios and other businesses and has worked on major PR campaigns that generated extensive publicity.

Energy, enthusiasm, passion and imagination underline Andrew’s commitment to his clients.  Highly organised and efficient, Andrew strives to gain the maximum results for clients who seek his expertise.

Away from his work desk, Andrew enjoys bushwalking, exercising, travel, acting (local amateur theatre/TV ads), music and outings with his wife and children. He has also published two successful bushwalking books on walks in Victoria and NSW.

Moira Mevissen 

Moira brings to Peak PR a formidable background in the hospitality and events sector. Making customers happy and satisfied is Moira’s passion. She has managed several highly successful restaurants and retail outlets, boosting income and efficiency dramatically in the process. Event management is Moira’s speciality, with her highly-honed organisational skills making every occasion a success and an event to remember. Over the years, Moira has also worked in various retail outlets, clothing boutiques and department stores where her warm and friendly personality made a definite mark with customers and colleagues.

Andrew and Moira have been married since 1989 and live in the Southern Highlands, just south of Sydney. They have three children, Joel, Serena and Jaspar.
